Hi all ,ive been reading this thread for a while and am very interested in doing the Det3 tefi conversion and leaving ignition stock ,has anyone done that yet ,i,m a bit unsure how to write the initial maps but pretty keen to try .
 
Hi all! a newbie from the NW of England here and I finished this very project last year. I currently have a 2001 ZX7R with 9B engine fitted running microsquirt ecu, R1 (5vy) throttle bodies and a 12R in-tank pump fitted. If any one would like pointers or extra info please drop me a note or pm. I am quite willing to email pictures also if requested.
I have a std 7R and this one that I ride and the diference is like night and day! just the way it should have been built.
I must admit it has taken me approx 18 months to build and refine but it has been worth it.

I'm doing a conversation like yours with the R1 throttle bodies on my ZX7. Did you remove the secondary blades? Any tips or tricks you can share? (smithars724@yahoo.com)

Probably waking the dead here. Any forward progress?
I recently parted out an 2010 R6, and on a whim I tried fitting the throttle bodies to my K1 and to my surprise they were only 1.5mm off between holes. Should be an easy fit. I also have the complete R6 harness and I'm extremely tempted to fit the whole works into my bike. Only real issue I see is getting a cam signal.

Any thoughts?

Any updates on your swap? Hopefully starting mine soon, trying to figure out which way to go

If it’s not a problem I’m looking for any information I can get, wanna start a parts list and get to ordering stuff soon….
