#10 summed it up. If not own one at least ride one to understand and have that experience.

In lieu of that a zx14r/h2/h2sx or the zh2. Also like the s1000rr but the older ones, or maybe even a zx10r. I've been happy with the kawasaki experience and not in a hurry to change that.

Actually posted a listing of a zx14r for sale recently but it was a bit out of the way on the west coast. Unreal price. Called about it and the first thing the salesman told me was the shipping cost and not to expect it to be cheap. It was up there. The second issue was the financing. It was either cash or do it some way I was not comfortable with. That bike sold quick.

Some times a good deal is worth the drive. Just load up a pickup with ramps and just pay the fuel costs. If you can afford to take the time off though.

For sure. Unfortunately that drive for me was well over 1000 miles plus like you said away time. The 12 has been a great do it all bike for me and it would take a special bike to replace it.
