Kryptonite disc brake lock

I have been using a Kryptonite disc brake lock for years now when I leave the bike outside work. I know, locks only keep honest people honest. This lock is a very old style with the round key. A few people told me the rond key locks as easy to "pick". Anybody know anything about this? I looked at new Krytonite disc locks and they no longer hav ethe round style key.

Thanks!

If somebody really wants to take the bike, they are going to take it regardless of what lock you have. I know of situations where 2 guys show up, lift the bike into the back of a van and off they go.

Have you looked at the ones with the built in alarm? Noise always gets people's attention and more of a deterrent then a lock alone.

I use mine on the front brake. They will try and snap the steering stem lock or just pick it up. @ 600 pounds if they want my 20 year old bike that bad, and they are willing to carry it out or try and maneuver the front end out of my fenced yard...

so be it.

I just want one or two clear shots for my trouble...
