Does anyone know if the front rotors from a new ZX14R will fit an older 2006/2007 ZX14? Also did they make any improvements to the stock rotors on the new 14R over the stockers on the older generation 14's?
Thanks

Thanks Hammerhead - I thought they should be a direct swap. I think I read or heard somewhere that they may be made of thicker material to finally prevent the warping problem they had on previous years. For the price I think I may pull the trigger and put them on the shelf. I may need to replace the rotors on my 07 to sell it and I have a low mileage 06 that will need them given enough time. Maybe I will put the new ones on the 06 and take the stockers from the 06 and transplant them onto the 07.

KHI must have done SOMETHING to improve the quality and/or durability of the front rotors or you would be hearing about warpage and shuddering from 14R owners since the new bike has more power and more weight. I don't have stock rotors, so no way to compare, but if I did, I would be checking the R models out to see if the rotors are any thicker. I believe the stock rotors on the older models were 5mm thick. My Galfer rotors, that have between 20K and 40K miles measure about 5.15-5.2mm, so I assume they were probably around 5.25 mm when new.
