I just recently purchased this bike and the servo motor was removed which is causing the FI light to stay on. I did some looking around and it appears that some have used Ivans Servo Eliminator kit and others have just undid the cables to the motor and called it a day? Is there a difference with it on or not and worth the money to get the eliminator kit?

What exactly is the purpose of the servo motor anyways?

Thanks,
Johnny

If it is what I think your talking about.
With it connected and working it controls the exhaust flow. I wish I could get mine working, but I don't know how to fix it since my little brother screwed with it. My FI light stays on now too and I also removed the cables. I still have that thing that moves around under the seat, well doesn't really move at all now.

A track friend said unplug the battery for 20 minutes, plug it back in and ride for 5 minutes over 18 MPH and might get rid of the FI light. I haven't really tried it, I removed my battery to charge it and took kit for a ride, but not for long. It might be there still, not sure.

bump..........

Anyone? Im really wanting to figure this out? If I should just put the servo motor back in and unhook the cables or if I should get the eliminator kit?

Ive also been told that if you pull the cables it will still cause issues with the FI light? Anyone got any info on this?

Thanks in advance

Does it really bother you that much?
My FI light is on, cables are removed, I still have my motor and everything in place. The reason the FI light still came on for me is because I manually forced the motor to turn, which screwed it up. Which is why I can't hook it back up.
Does having the FI on matter? Not really.
Does having the Motor not working matter? Not really.
My opinion, I say fuck it, it doesn't interfear with anything, nor cause any problems that I know of. The only outcome of it is a louder exhaust.
