Hey so every time I crank up my bike I would ride for a little and when I would come to a stop I would notice smoke coming from the radiator/fan area. Today took the plastics off and it started smoking a minute or two after firing it up. Then it stops after a few seconds. Any suggestions? Might not even be a problem just making sure

Does it smell sweet?

Coolant leak.

Otherwise it could be oil.

its actually coming straight from the second cylinder from the left.

i know i need to change the oil very soon if not now. Could that be it?

Oil that needs to be changed wouldn't be leaking.

Could be oil seeping onto the header pipe from the valve cover :headscratch ?

any suggestions on what to do? Two friends told me i have to much oil and should let some out.

If the oil level is above the top of the little window when the bike is standing upright then yes, too much.

However, friends are often idiots. Too much oil wouldn't cause a valve/head gasket to leak.

yeah it is above the little window that is why they suggested that. what do you think it is?

Well that certainly doesn't help. It should be somewhere in the middle of the glass.

But that probably won't cause a leak.
