If you JUST put the clutch in your not supposed to rag on it for 500 miles so the clutch can break in. make sure ypu change your oil after that 500 miles too.

make sure you have a little slack on the clutch cable. If its too tight then it may be partially engaging the clutch.

my recommendation is about 10mm worth of slack, even to 15mm to most new riders.

and you can get down to 5mm on the slack if you know what you are doing but you risk burning through the clutch faster if you do not add the clutch slack inspection on your regular maintenance routine. most people forget and dont check this.

Also, make sure you do not have too much cable slack.. too much will cause your clutch cable not to return fully after shifting keeping it partially engaged.

It's not a new clutch... And is the clutch lever ment to hv a little play like where the back of the clutch lever don't come all the way back??

yes, the clutch lever wire is suppose to have a little play "slack".
no slack (tight) will burn your clutch and too much slack can cause your clutch to not disengage.

as what i previously posted, i recommend 10mm of slack but i have about 5 on mine only because i keep up with the checkup regulary.
