Has anyone tried the new zx14r seat on a zx14, I would think it would fit but I am not sure, also would the cowling fit and look proper?

You mean a 2012 seat on an older 14?

it will fit. My corbin from my ex 14 fits my new 14R but I had to remove the two helmet holder hooks to make it work.

If it works from the old to the new it would fit from the new to the old - if my logic is correct.

I had the corbin as a passenger seat on the old 14. When I had a pillion I put that seat on to save screwing around with removing the plastics. I think I will be using the corbin for the same purpose on the new bike.
