Greetings all,
Found this vid from my favorite show- Babylon 5.
You can imagine my surprise upon first seeing
this episode many years ago.
There SHE was a '92 ZX11 in my favorite show :clap.
(set 200 years in the future).
The guy with the funny head is "Will Robinson"(BILL MUMY)
from Lost in Space, the other guy
(Jerry Doyle) is now a radio presenter in Vegas (I think).
I got to meet Jerry (at a sci-fi con held in Sydney) & naturally
ask about the BIKE & if he rode etc etc.
No, he didn't "ride" and the bike was a money thing-
A local Kawasaki dealer paid to have it in the show,
so Joe Michael Straczynski wrote it into the script.
( NO budget and being the first season they had to find $$$
wherever they could).
That was the first & last time it was seen or mentioned
Hope ya enjoy it (yeah it's corny- I know) but apart
from "MAX" in DARK ANGEL (MMmmm Jessica Alba)
we haven't had a NINJA on TV (that I remember).

Hi herbiekeeper,
The SCI FI guys aren't "rocket scientists" when it comes
to "ancient" motorcycle technologies as I've discovered.
Probably just went by what the dealer told them.
I was a bit disappointed that Jerry didn't ride but
the guy that played Zathras (Tim Choate) DID and we chatted
at some length about the ZX and his BMW K75.
He even held up proceedings
(much to the annoyance of the crowd & the MC)
so I could get a pic of him with my wife
(who'd gone to the "ladies room").
Unfortunately, Tim was (later) killed while riding said Beemer.
It's often said (but with TIM it was true)
He was a really NICE guy.

Great video, brought back memories. I didnt know that the 92 ZX11 had dual ram induction. Always thought that was introduced in 93...

Cool story. Good luck ordering a carb gasket kit on a space station in 200 years. Sorry to hear about the motor accident.

The zx11 was in the movie "new jack city". It was used by the gang bangers to do a drive by on the mobsters. A cool shot that lasted just long enough for the zx11's passenger to shoot up the place. I think I remember that the passenger was riding backwards while shooting.

Yeah, that's what I'd hoped too.
Still, I shoulda taken my fairing screen for him to sign.
Would've looked good hanging in my BAR with all the other
autographed stuff I have (SG-1,Farscape, Buffy/Angel/ Elvira)
and my car trophies .

I am one of the king nerds as I have A Battle-star G outfit complete with the full Bore Boots from the Org TV show with Viper Helmet,Complete outfit from the new BG series a Klingon outfit with all the weapons and Battle robe. So now ya know a King Nerd! LOL.
I have done a bunch of SiFi Charity events and been in a movie so to speak( Mama's Boy,I was in a picture at the beginning of the movie....... Now back to Bikes! LOL

I've got a signed pic of Dominar Rygel XVI with a ciggie and a Beer.
Trivia- The guy that voiced Rygel (Jonathan Hardy)
was also in the movie Mad Max
and the Blue lady (actually she was a tree) "Zhaan"
(Virginia Hey) was in Mad Max 2 as the "warrior woman".

We did a star and Car show in Anaheim Ca and my buddy has the Mad Max Car and the Blue Lady was there because she was in the second Mad Max Movie? Nice Lady and Very Nice on the eyes!.......

I think he misspoke about the dual air ram as that bike is a 91-93,The tank after that was laid down and you had to sit more in a leaning position as the hand grips were lower as well on all the others after the 1993 Thats another reason I like my 91,you can sit on it and still be comfortable on a long ride and your hands don't fall a sleep and your neck feels okay after 300 miles. Like I said I'm old but I do like to be comfortable while looking good!
