I bought a zx11 bout a month back was real excited about getting it running, then I realized the tank was in the worst condition. Full of rust and when I put something in there to get rid of it large holes started to appear. If anyone has an extra tank the can let go of, and not charge an arm and a leg like ebay. Please help

Good luck with your search, those are about as difficult to find as hens teeth, they are made outta Unobtanium. There is a tank in Japan for a ZZR1100 that should fit, but Im sure you dont want to spend $1000 to buy it get it shipped to you. There appears to be several of ZZR tanks in Europe, u are just going to have to find out what shipping would be and IF they will ship to the US. The Tanks were mass expensive when brand new and now arent made anymore so NOBODY is going to sell one cheap to you, especially if they are clean. .

Here is a Tank for a D model

Haven't done it but have read where guys with really old bikes have their tanks relined. Probably way cheaper than finding one of these in decent shape.

This is also a problem with old tractors. There's a product to restore these from the inside.

Great suggestion!

On a funny note, does that stuff make holes disappear too?

In a way, it makes a giant plastic balloon inside your gas tank that's impervious to gas.

Small holes would be no problem. As I recall the only thing that breaks it down is commercial floor stripper.

So don't put that in your gas tank ;)

I have a spare, with no excessive rust but it could use an etching. It appears someone tried to pour a liner in it but stopped before making a mess of things.
If interested I can send pictures. It will come with nothing but the tank and it is 100% salvageable.
I am real, names Christian and I live in St. Augustine, FL. I have direct access to UPS. Shipping is all on you and I am sure we can agree on a fair non-ebay price structure... :)
Or I can sell you my extremely nice one, with all new OEM hoses, filters, working sending unit and rebuilt petcock for a seriously embellished Ebay price LOL

As per my experience in the "liner" world... Red Kote is the best product I've ever seen used - several hundred times since my brother at a radiator shop in Springfield, MO is a specialist with the stuff...

@ Blaine, I need to talk to you. I just picked up another 93 for a spare motor since I blew mine up. But it came with a set of DyMag wheels. Tires installed but have never been ridden on... Interested? Also came with a full set of Givi Maxia luggage. Know of any hardware for mounting these on the ZX's?
