What yr 10 do u have? If its an 08 or up ur calipers are good. The 1st and 2nd gens are junk. I have zx14 nissins on mine and theyre a direct fit. The 08 and up zx6 nissins I believe are the same as the 14s. Thr cbr 1000s u mention will work but require 5mm spacers to fit right.

Well then yep. U need to also upgrade to a radial MC. U could pick up one of the r1 brembo MCs for abt 170 or a 2nd gen 10 MC. I personally have the brembo rcs 19 from riders discount but its $300

Why do people want to switch over to a radial master cylinder for? Can you explain? Obviously there must be some sort of a performance advantage but I don't know what it is?

 

I've got a brembo MC already and braided lines and good pads.

the UK ebay seems to not have many of the nissin calipers on, I'll have to keep my eyes pealed.

Thanks for the offer, waiting to here back from my mate who got a set for £90 which seems about right.

Tempted by M4's but cannot justify them. Might be off loading the 16.5 dymags for some 17s if anyone is interested.

 

Better feel in the lever, slightly more clamping force. I ran a 2nd gen MC on my bike for awhile. I miss it.

 

Why are the 14's calipers better? They have larger bore pistons? Also do they weigh more than the stock ZX10s? I have a 2nd gen '07

 

I don't know exactly why, but yes they are. As, curiously, are the ZX6R ones.
