After I close the garage today I turn around just in time to see my new 10 fall over. WTF it's a little over a week old. Now I gotta go to the shop to get an estimate on repairs. I don't wanna deal with insurance so I'm planning paying out-of-pocket. As for replacements, all I see I really need is a new clutch lever. A piece snapped off the bottom of my left foot peg, but I don't think that's critical.
And of course I got scratched off paint on the fairings and tail. Just wondering how much I could expect to spend on getting her fixed. Anyone else have the same kind of thing happen?

I read about people complaining about the kick stand sucking!!!!!!!!! After you get her fixed put some damn sliders on there. They should be the first mod for every new bike!

Sorry to hear about your "mishap" ZXerJay. Sucks when it's so new and it's not like you dropped it or somethin'.

Hope it doesn't run you too much on the fix-up.

This appears to be a common problem as discussed in other threads of ZXForums.

The stands don't rotate far enough forward and don't permit the bike to lean enough for safe positioning.

But then, maybe Kawasaki is content to sell repair parts and not fix the defect. Hey! This could be a profitable, intentional design to get continued business....Naw!!!

Hope no one has a bike fall on them.

Not true!!! Sliders will indeed help out if your bike falls over!!!! Better to have a scuffed slider than scratched or broken plastics. :nana

+1 on the center stand!!!!!!!!!!!

Whenever I park mine I lock the steering to the left and give it a very good tug to make sure the stand is fully extended in the hold position.
I'd have to go off on somebody if mine fell!

I hear the first time down on the brand new bike can be more painful then a head-on with a minivan. I bought used, plastic is already scratched so I don't care what happens.
