Hello all, been a long time since I've been on here, hope everyone is well. A friend of mine picked up a well used '98, he pulled the seat and tank and found this line laying under it all. I tried looking on exploded diagrams and didn't see it and I don't feel like pulling mine apart to find it. It looks to be about 10in long and had a "T" cap on the end. If it was a vacuum or vent line I would expect it to be open on the end. Any ideas?

Drain tube for airbox. Captures excess oil from air filter if too much oil was applied or water that somehow entered into the airbox from the air induction ports. Don't want that dripping on your tire or bike.

To keep the overflow oil residue from getting all over places you would rather it not. That way you're able to pull the plug and drain the tube into a rag or any type of container of your choice.

Keeps unfiltered air from entering behind the filter and prevents it from sucking water in the case of amphibious roads 😂
