If gasoline engines were completely 100% efficient, how long and how far would we be able to go on a single tank of gas?

Internal combustion gasoline engine are at most only 20% efficient. So multiply what you get now by about 5. If humans were able to ingest octane, we would get about 1000 miles plus on a single gallon.

Now if we could induce an electrostatic charge over the fairing (see Townsend Brown experimants and The Hunt for Zero Point - Nick Cook) we also might be able to reduce drag and eliminate radar signature (AKA Northrop B2) and as a side benefit the bike might have a pulsing glow in the dark.

There's nothing like being able to move atomic particles through an induced charge. And nothing more stomach churning than sitting in the middle of an incredible amount of electric flux. However, I do think brakes should be a freely rotating magnetic disc inside a coil for which we could induce an electro-magnetic field and stop the bike on a dime without asbestos pads or any contact for that matter.

One that always baffled me: They can send a spaceship to the moon, but they cant keep oil in an engine?
