I finally bought a ZX-9R last weekend. I had wanted one for years, but I blew a disk in 2003 so I decided to purchase a Z1000 instead (easier on the back). Anyway, the new bike needs a little work. I'm going to redo brakes this week/end. I bought new lines & pads. Does anyone have an idea how much fluid is in entire system? I didn't get a manual with the bike. Maybe someone has the knowledge, or a pdf of the owner's manual, or better yet, the technical service manual? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Also, who lives in the bay area (Tampa, not Frisco). Any regular rides?

If you get a one way bleeder valve or line you will use a lot less fluid. Fluid is pretty cheap anyway but the one way makes doing breaks by yourself much easier.

Congrats on the new ZX and welcome!!!!!!!

Thanks guys. I finally got a chance to do the brakes this weekend.
I bought the brake bleeder and wonder why it took me so long to get one.
Tires and jet kit next week and I'll be ready to roll.
