i have a question, not on turbos in general but on a specific one.. a garrett GT3082r to be exact.. can the zx11 mill physically spool a turbo of this size? got a chance to get one dirt cheap and would like to make a boost fed baby.. any help ASAP is great!

I'm NO expert, but IMO 'Nope.'

I couldn't find a 3082 map, but even the smaller 3076r is significantly oversized for your bike.


(The 3082 will only be worse.)

Pounds per min X 10 roughly = HP. 1.5 bar is 8 PSI. Without significant mods to allow running higher boost, your bike will inhabit the two tiny squares at lower left. :smile

At full throttle your bike will barely spin the wheels, and even then the unit will be operating at terrible efficiency. I suspect you'll wind up with an asthmatic dog that only begins to awaken when you're bouncing off the rev limiter. With a lot of work it might make a workable drag bike, but as a daily rider it would suck. Big time.
