That's about like what that preacher said. They just hauled him to the isolation ward with a bad case of ignorance.
The Virginia pastor who defiantly said : " “I firmly believe that God is larger than this dreaded virus", just died from COVID-19. He vowed to preach "unless I'm in jail or the hospital". Apparently his wishes came true, he died of Coronavirus after he held a church service. I guess his followers now don't have to worry about tithing 10% of their income.

They're keeping the lake open here. Come one come all.
Can't beach your boat in certain spots
Indian land on arizona side closed all launch ramps on the lower river. Weird since the casino is on indian land and they decided to open in a couple weeks
Ok for people to come and gamble but not ok to go out on the lake

I always assumed the ri in your handle was for Rhode Island, but I didn't think RI has a female governor. On the other hand, I don't pay much attention to RI so I wouldn't necessarily know. Regardless, I've been hearing a lot of people lately whittily quipping that they want to just catch it and get it over with, and would like to point out that beating this thing does not mean you won't catch it again. Whether these people are getting re-infected or the testing that showed they recovered was inaccurate isn't clear, but the bottom line is that either many people who catch it get no immunity from kicking it or it's something like herpes that never actually goes away and can flare back up any time. Neither is pleasant, so I'm not sure it matters. In other news, if you are in RI, I have some questions about the gutter business.

Rhode Island does indeed have a female Governor, Gina Raimondo

Don't know much about the gutter bizz, but I think some contractors are still working, maybe only emergency repairs caused by storm damages.

Well ok then. We bought a contemporary colonial this past summer that was built in '06. The gutters are a maze of zigs and zags all over the place, because of all the birdhouse dormers, catwalks and levels. They seem to work fine, but some of the seams leak. I'm not sure just how seamless seamless gutters are, so for all I know that's what I have here, but I haven't looked all that close. The leaking ones I've identified are all where the straight runs connect to the 90's in the corners. There's a porch roof under the master bedroom window, and when it's not pouring so hard that it drowns the sound out, the dripping from those corner seams onto the porch roof below pounds like Chinese water torture. I bought a tube of gutter sealant thinking I could get myself out of a jamb on the cheap, but thirty seconds on my 12 pitch roof pretty much disabused me of that notion. We have 9' ceilings on both levels, so it's really up there.
So would a gutter specialist be the person to talk to about this? Gutters are a pretty simple concept so it's possible all I need is someone with a tall ladder and bigger cajones than me to take my caulking gun up there; but if there's a better way (or it's just not that simple) and I need to get someone in here who understands more about gutter systems than I do, I'd rather know now. Depending on where you are in RI you're probably somewhere between 45 mins to 1.5 hours from me, I doubt coming out here would be worth your trouble but then I don't really know what I'm dealing with. On the other hand, what are your thoughts on gutter guards, and/or do you do them? I'm interested in those too, so. Maybe...?

The Gutters should be seamless .The miters on the corners have seams . Over the years the ice sometimes makes them leak . They have to be clean and dry to seal them . The sealer shrinks up as it dries so use more than you think . They make the sealer in caulk gun size and also in a tube like toothpaste size .We use the small tubes to seal the miters as the caulking gun size is hard to fit in there . If the gutters still drip after it stops raining they are holding water and should be repitched . You should be able to get to them with a long ladder from the ground if the porch roof isn't to big . If you have someone foot the ladder as you go up it feels much safer. You can put the ladder on the gutter wont hurt them . The corners are always the hardest to reach . If you dont feel safe hire a professional not worth falling .Happened to my dentist .fell of his roof cleaning the gutters and was out of work for 4 months . Probably would has only cost him a few hundred to have it done .
As far as gutter guards go On new systems we use a product called leaf relief .Its part of the system .It replaces the gutter bars and slips into the gutter . It runs about 7 dollars a foot . So with gutter and guards its about 12 a foot plus 2 a foot to remove old gutters so not cheap . If you just wanted guards on existing gutters we use a different system Sure flo that just clicks into the existing gutters . It runs about 10 a foot which includes clean and resealing the existing gutters . If you have pine trees you need another system that has stainless screens . It runs around 12 a foot . Never buy any system that goes into the roof as will be roof issues eventually.

Right now we cant really leave the state as gina has national guard at the border .We had a bunch of people coming in to their beach houses from N.Y. and Ct the last few weeks and they been pulling them over and getting there info trying to force them to quarantine for 2 weeks .She actually had them knocking on doors of anyone with out of state plates near all the beaches . Getting crazy Today she closed the garden centers only delivery and pick up . This is a pic of the sure flo system . Ill post a link to some other systems . Your best bet would to call a few small local companies and see what they have to offer . All the big companies will be more as the sales guys need their cut .

Huh, interesting. My company has a job going for EB in Quonset Point, and I've been dragging a trailer out there almost every day for the last few weeks. I've seen your staties and DOT all over the place, but I've yet to see them with anyone pulled over. They've been leaving me alone. Regardless, thanks for the info. Right now I'll cross my fingers and hope the horizon is closer than it looks...

Not sure about the other border crossings (RT-146 South, RT-6 or RT-44 east), but at I-95 North, they are diverting non RI plated cars into the rest area to interrogate for final destination, if it's within RI then taking names and numbers, if they are passing through to Mass and points further north, then they are quickly waived through.

At my house, that mesh would soon be covered in oak pond, branches and leaves. After trying 3 different types of gutter screens over the years, I gave up and now just get up there with a blower and clear them before they're full.

I have not seen any at the south bound Mass border in Attleboro/Pawtucket, but there were news reports about Westerly/Stonington, maybe they have relaxed a bit on the northbound traffic.

I heard rumors that it was going to be happening, and then that they changed their mind within a day or two. I dunno. I haven't been up there since last week. Regardless, I drive all over the place all day every day, I've never seen so many cops sitting everywhere or so many assholes driving so much worse than usual not getting pulled over for it. I don't remember the last time I saw a cop with someone pulled over, but I know it was before the lockdown.
