It's a quirky but fun bike. Definitely a rider's machine that needs active supervision to be best employed. On the 3rd windscreen and 2nd seat. Sound familiar?

The next-gen 1290's get a frame similar to the RC8R, so they're moving away from their dirtbike roots and into transportation. Mine's definitely a big dirtbike, but the future models look to be sportier. Can't wait to get my shaky old shithooks on the new 890 R. Hoping to catch a demo some time this summer, but who knows?

On another note, the governor requested our state (Pennsylvania) to be declared a major disaster area, and it has nothing to do with the daily shootings, murders and violent crime. We are bracing for a surge in Coronavirus cases as the pandemic intensifies. Be safe out there!

One more year before retirement ..... I gotta get out of here pronto.

Been doing a little solo riding, the best form of social distancing. Was supposed to ride with a friend yesterday, but my wife is super-paranoid (a healthy thing in this bs) so I bailed to keep her happy. We have her 86-year-old Dad here with us on home Hospice due to end-stage lung disease and if he gets it, it's over. Back to soloing today.

Ya we're living a different routine with Mrs EZ's job. So far they have failed to supply barriers or masks or gloves. I gave the pharmacy my n95 masks and gloves.
I actually told her to quit if they didn't man up.
Our daughter is still here until work starts up again
So our new routine when Mrs EZ comes home is to leave her clothes at the door and a hot shower at night and we all sleep in different rooms.
Times have changed

There should be more testing readily available soon, but nothing's really going to change until there's a vaccine. My youngest daughter is here with us, along with my Father-in-Law and I'm the only person that leaves the house. We've taken over the Hospice duties to keep them from coming in. My middle daughter is a nurse at the County-run old folks home and my oldest is a director of rehab at a big chain old folks home in the city, so they are doing their utmost to protect the codgers and their own families. No family Easter egg hunt this year. The middle daughter is pregnant and diabetic and she's worried about all that, too. Talked to my sister yesterday and one of her step-daughters just tested negative after one of HER stepdaughters brought it home from a business trip in February. Luckily I'm retired and don't have to give up my livelyhood like a lot of folks have had to.

This shit isn't going away. They haven't even found a cure for the common cold or the flu.
One of the biggest reasons I didn't like to fly was because of all the people. I wouldn't even wear shorts on the plane for fear of touching someone.
Last november I flew from LA to Vegas and the lady next to me literally picked her nose the entire time, no joke. And wiped it on her dress.
We had a free room at a casino one time and we couldn't even stay in the room. No wonder it was free.
Even high end resorts we stayed at. Had a discounted rate for a wedding at the Monarch in california for $500 a night. Normally $1000.
You didn't even want to sit in the chair. Stains on the floor. Resort didn't give a shit.
This virus doesn't surprise me.
