My 2000 ZX7R had 10mm swing arm spools. So the 97/98 should be the same.

I don't know where he is buying them from, but check with KOS Racing. I have a thread going on here about the bar ends and spools that I got from them for my 10R. The guys there are awesome... and will work with you on anything you need.

Whether you're buying 1 part or 50... They worry about customer service.

Hope this helps Yoshed.

I just bought 2 sets of Pro-Tek swing arm spools off of Ebay and they fit.

Try those.

96-03 take 12mm spools, not 10mm. A lot of aftermarket companies say the 10's will fit. They are wrong.

Pro-Tek got it right. They were in business when the P models were new in the showrooms, which might have something to do with it.

I got a set of 10mm ones and just used nuts on the back, has held the bike up fine for quite a while now.

I couldn't find a set of 12mm spools that were a decent price.
