Ouch I did it,knew it would happen one day. Buy a shiny new thing and just live in fear of the first scratch.
Dropped it standing still in some gravel on a hill.
No damage to speak of really but got some embarassing scratches on the mirror plastic.
Got ne suggestens to make them go away guys?

The mirror plastic files down very nicely with a girly emery board (bit like a nail file) BUT it does take the black off leaving a matt grey (sorry 'gray' for you guys) underneath. You can touch it up with 'Back to black' or other blackening liquid for bumper trim. In the UK the 06 10R mirrors are over £40 + 17.5% tax to replace:rant as you have to buy the whole assembly.

On another note the 10R seems prone to falling off their sidestands. I know of two 06 10R's that have done it. Might explain how I know the price of a mirror. Oh, and a clutch lever is £9 + 17.5% tax.:lol
