I finally pulled it out and started back up again. I got the radiator on, swingarm on with correct spacers, the electrical mostly sorted except the timer box system, I have a few parts at the machinist making a small parts, order a truckload of titanium bolts, found a temp sensor. A little bit at a time.......
After a couple years of cussing and swearing, I finally figured out the parts required to install M Factory swingarms on these two bikes. The last parts are finished at the machinist. I only need one rear caliper bracket, which I have already figured out how to get made. My machinist is working on it now.
My fairings are all cleaned up and ready to go. Small mod on my Kit radiator and it can go on. Lots of wiring for the KLS quickshifter and the Unipro timer box.
I traded my race bike for a nice 07 GSXR750 that was close you complete. It is finished and I have already done a couple track days on it this year. I sold the race car. All distractions are finally gone (other than I just picked up a 2013 S1000RR track bike, fortunately it is ready to go).
I'm finally motivated to finish this bike.
The collector fabrication on your Ti header is way cool. I'm guessing it's late production WSB or endurance. Have any images of the legendary gear drive for the cams? That is mythical unobtainium. The billet 6 piston Nissin calipers that are on mine, are something of an anomaly. I don't recall seeing them on any other superbike back in the day. Very sexy with the Ti nitrided pistons.
Thanks for the pictures, good to see motoexotica from the dark ages of carburetors. Nice of Muzzy and Ferracci to sell their race bikes at the end of the season. That didn't happen with Honda and Yamaha, not sure about Yosh. Unfortunately, over the years the stuff gets broken, destroyed, or parted out. Glad you're making progress.
