Just saying hello from Eastern Washington. I have been riding and racing for a lot of years on many different brands. This was a unique find and one I plan to hold on to as a permanent bike... She had been sitting on the showroom floor since last year with lots of tire kickers but no one to commit.

Wow, what a bike. Less brutal than my busas and comfort that ranks next to a Bentley. Second day of owning her (Mishka) went with a bunch of friends on a Eastern Oregon run of about 250 miles. First 80 saw the transmission loosen up from a bit grabby to butter smooth.

I dont plan on major changes, but the birth control cans had to go. Called up Pam Coffman and ordered a set of their pipes in Anniversary colors. Pulled their rear pegs, and will add front and rear axle sliders along with a couple power outlets.. and thats it.

Great forum and it seems like lots of really cool well informed people. Hope to share lots as time goes by.

Cheers,

Eric

Nice 14r! I'm definitely a fan of the heritage colors. They just look good in the sea of other colors. If the ECU hasn't been flashed yet; and that's something you're interested in doing; I would look into Ivan's ECU flashing service or 2 Wheel Dyno Works (2wdw) ECU flashing service. Look into Ivan's first. He's been around for a long time and knows these bikes like he built them himself.

Exhaust is fantastic. With full baffles and packing its 79db. Zero drone on the highway and a bit of a pop on down shifting. Coffmans is really a great system. Give wr actually have an open exhaust system since Kawasaki put the cats in the birth control cannons... pulling the off and putting the Coffmans on, she breaths so much better.

hello from Wood Dale IL! beautiful bike. I own a 2017 14R. and I noticed the smart man you are put a zip tie on the right side fork. Idk if kawasaki changed the front spring rates since '17 I weigh 160lbs.. front spring rate is too soft, stock rate is for 110lbs rider. rear is for a 180lbs rider.. and it makes sense because while setting sag the rear (stock) with me on it was 27mm. proper should be 33-35mm. I was able to set at a perfect 35mm. front was a different story. stock setting was 40mm. no wonder every bump my ass was coming off the seat, even with the preload at max I still couldn't get less than 40mm. so I'm about to pick up my bike from the shop with rebuilt front forks (stock) but with replacement racetech springs 1.20nm for my 160lbs weight. if you are high on suspensions lol. check out Dave Moss Tuning the man's a wizard with suspensions. happy and safe riding! enjoy that beauty!

I not only know Dave, I taped with him and hosted him at PIR back when the cripple triples he was promoting became a thing at our club. Dave helped build my 600/450 gsxr. What a walking encyclopedia and great guy!

Racetechs are going to make your bike feel sooo much better. So nice to talk with folks who not only love the bikes, but have knowledge beyond oil and filters, like you, to chat with!

Deception Pass Bridge. We rode over that a couple times last weekend.
Yes a lot of bikes. Funny part is you don't see too many bikes until sunday. Then main street is full and only let bikes in.
We actually went in one bar and got a table and drinks right away. Watched the Cossacks do their thing and went for a long ride. Saw a few groups of riders but it was the cars that slowed us down.
