Hey,

I have an 05 ZX-6R with a completely seized gas cap (due to corrosion). I managed to get it off the bike and bought a new one and I have it in pieces but I can't get the locking cylinder out of the old gas cap.

Anyone know how to remove the old lock cylinder?

Without having it in my hand, I'm only guessing, but I think the cylinder is likely sealed into the cap unit when it's manufactured. So many modern components are not designed to be repaired, but to be replaced wholesale.

The process is a bit different but there is a brass piece on the bottom you just need to push in and it slides out.
