So last night my gf and I started tearing the bike last night and hoping it would get done by summer.

Plans are:
Powdercoat frame swing arm and brackets all gloss black
Paint fairings red
New rear sprocket and chain
New chain guard
New fairing bolt kit
New brake pads and front rotors
Possibly powdercoated calipers
Zx9r front forks with new seals

As for the engine:
Zx9r cams
Headgasket
Timing chain
Valve clearance adjustment
Stage one jet kit

I bought a rear spool stand from eBay for $44 and its sturdy and holding up good. Definitely was scared of the quality but I'm satisfied with the puchase

There might be more but this is the majority of it.

Good luck with the project. Lookin good so far.

I'd be nervous about starting a build like that this close to riding season. You just know you're gonna hear the bikes rippin around town on nice warm days while you're workin on yours.... Hate that.

I know but school is taking up my time and couldn't start before.

The Muzzy fan and rear subframe showed up already and fairing and carbs should be here today.

That holes on that Muzzy fan dont line up with the holes on the spindal piece on motor. I bought same one, had to measure and redrill holes.
Why won't it??

looked on your thread and you got a 1990 fan not a 91 so your holes look different than mine, i will go out there tonight and test fit it to see whether it works or not
