hey i posted an intro thread but figured i'd put this up, to document the findings on my new bike...

here's the bike as it sat when i picked it up

about 5 minutes after we got it home, rear tire pulled due to leaking valve stem.

little shot from the top side, notice anything missing? you'll see it in the next pic

what the plugs looked like, due to the covers on the plug wires being non-existent.

and so it begins, i have til the 17th of feb to get this up and running before i leave for Japan...

So how were those things connected? Even the plastic bit inside the rubber is long enough to come out the top.

idk about that being on the left side, arent older models (the ones that have thatfrom the mount from the factory?) on the right?

I know a guy who has a damper on his... 94/95 i think? And its on the right side of his bike.

Im curious about the one piece tail too.

The older ones were mounted on the right side due to the ram air duct on the left side. Never seen anyone mount a bracket onto a P model frame, usually go on top of triple clamp. Besides, never known a seven to shake enough to need one installed. Usually people are trying to speed up the steering not slow it down.

Certainly not. If it was, it would be welded on.
