Allright everyone so I've got a few seals leaking oil and don't feel like paying a ton for labor to have it done so I wanna try to do it myself but need some advice. So the list of seals that are leaking are as follows: clutch cover casket, transmission cover gasket, check valve gasket, valve cover gasket, a seal behind the front sprocket and then I believe something called the over shaft seal, i think its around the shift linkage. Anyway, I'm decently handy and feel I can do the work myself if I have a decent repair manual to follow. Can anyone think of any specific problems or obstacles I may have issues with when I go to tackle these? What repair manual do you recommend I get to help me out? I read somewhere that a Hayes manual showed a complete teardown and rebuild of the bike but because it covers such a range of model years, it can somethimes be difficult to follow. Also, any other things I should checkout or replace while I'm taking things apart and getting at these seals? Thanx for any help or tips anyone can provide.

The OEM Kawa manuals tell you how to do everything, including what/where to lube, silicone seal, and loc tite. Should show up in a search. I've only done the clutch cover gasket and its straight forward just like the manual's directions, no detail skipped.

yes if the leaks are coming from engine cover gaskets and no gaskets between engine blocks your ok..engine covers are basic and kawi maual tells you all the specs as torque and sealants..the transmission cover (clutch cover) you need a silicone sealant for the 2 gaps wear the engine cases meet..make sure you get new gaskets for the covers..
