Hi everybody. I'm new to the forum and just got my first Kawasaki.
I'm a fairly experienced rider with one previous bike.

Back in October my best friend borrowed my 2007 SV650S for a week while his car was in the shop.(He's also the one that sold it to me) The day before he got his car back he layed the bike down. The bike still ran just fine but the body damage totaled it out.
It also totaled my friend. He was wearing a his helmet(that came with the bike and didn't fit), my riding jacket, riding gloves, and cargo shorts:banghead. The incident occurred at about 40 MPH and he didn't hit any other vehicles.
He now has permanent brain damage and is missing large pieces of his Calcaneus, Talus and Tibia.(Not broken, ground off by the pavement)
So please! WEAR YOUR GEAR STUPID!!!

As a replacement I just bought a Special Edition Ebony 2008 ZX-6R with 2,400 miles on it. It looks like it just rolled out of the show room. I'll make sure and post pictures soon. In an effort to prevent this bike from being totaled I just ordered a complete Shogun slider set and Shogun front axle sliders(that don't come with the set). I just finished installing a GPS tracker and my Digital Guard Dawg keyless ignition system should be arriving any day now. To make room for all my crap I plan on removing the exhaust servo and locking the valve in place or just removing it all together.
I want to keep this bike running and looking good for a very long time so if you have any suggestions for mods or add-ons that will make this amazing bike better please suggest away. :smile

Edit:
Pulled the bike out of my sister's garage. I decided to start the riding season early since we had this weird winter that is now over :runaway
I only got one picture last night and it's not very good but I'll be taking more on my lunch break today.

He'll be fine. He's a Marine too so I just tell him to suck it up and get the sand out of his vagina.

Welcome to ZXF and sorry about your friend. Good starting mod with the sliders, what other things would you be looking for? Exhaust, I'd check youtube to see what kind of sound you like. Brake lines are a good upgrade, and, if you're interested, I'm doing a group buy on them right now. Otherwise, just seat time, man.

Yes Cancan, I might be interested in a group buy. What lines are you ordering?
Sorry Mpskowski, I haven't had a chance to take pictures yet. The bike's been sitting in my sister's garage and I haven't been over there recently. I made a promise to myself not to ride this bike until it's paid off and I have a new set of riding gear. (Just finished paying it off two weeks ago and my new track suit is in the mail) I'll try to get some pics for all of you today or tomorrow.
If anyone's interested, I'm considering doing a write up on the $20 RFID keyless ignition that I built for my SV. It worked flawlessly for 6 months before the bike got totaled. I still have all the schematics but not many pictures. (and obviously can't take any more)
