new forum member valve clearance check question

ok so i picked up an 05 636 one owner bike with a little over 15K on it. got valve cover off for the 15K maintenance check. after gauging all valves which was PITA the exhaust valves are extremely hard to get a good measurement on. anyway what i found was i could re-shim almost every valve. they all seem really tight. just a few are actually out of spec but the others are not far away. not what i expected to see at 15K. just wondering if this is normal
