Well the book has exhaust 0.22-0.31 mm (0.0087-0.0122 in)
intake 0.11-0.19 mm (0.0043-0.0075 in)

I have two sets of guages and the thinest is .0015 in / .038 mm

That is already paper thin what they are calling for must be see through. if its not a miss print where do i get a set of feelers that thin

Your reading it wrong. Look at the decimal place. The .0015 is one and a half thousandths or 15 ten thousandths. The exhaust is calling for .008-.012. So eight to twelve thousandths. Use the .010 feeler gauge and go for that. Then the intake go for .006. Also .0015 is the smallest feeler gauge.

I think there is a typo in your message. .038mm=.015 in. So that would be way thinner than you are looking for. The specs you list are correct.
I think yours is the typo. he was just sayin he has .038mm which is too thin.
.38mm is too thick
.38 Millimeters = 0.01496062992 Inches
.038 Millimeters = 0.00149606299 Inches

By what he wrote here, the thinnest he has is way undersized. He says what they are calling for must be paper thin. That says to me that he thinks that they are not thin enough. Am I missing something in the metric translation here? :headscratch

My bad on the decimal point. What threw me off was the part about his gauges being paper thin and that what they called for must be see through.:banghead

I'm guessing what threw me off is the extra number on the in measurement and the lack of on the mm measurement. Had a crs moment.
