Hi guys, finally took the big step and picked up my brand new 2012 black zx10r. This is my first superbike so I made sure I did my research and bought the best. I have to say that I absolutely LOVE this bike. I look forward to chatting with ya'll.

SO very important!!! Your bike is capable of more than you know right now... break her in nice and easy and once you feel comfortable with her get acquainted with her. I bought my first 10 this past summer and I am still learning things about her. Seriously though, keep your traction control on for at least 3 months then slowly ease yourself out of her, when you do your mind will be BLOWN!

You'll be fine, just exercise some restraint. This is the softest liter bike I've ever owned, before -1 counter sprocket, full Graves system, and Guhl ECU flash, of course.

I've had sportbikes in the past.... Rode plenty of fast bikes, this is just the first 1k I have owned.. My first was a 2006 gsxr600 then a Harley (never again) then my XB12 and now this. Ps I still have the XB... Couldn't bring myself to get rid of it. Still trying to figure out how to get my pics up... Do most of this from my phone, help anyone?
