Sorry guys it's not a Kawi. I have thoroughly enjoyed my ZX9 four the past four years, but put a lot of thought and research into a replacement. Bought this today. 4104 actual miles on it. I had to drive 3 hours each way to pick it up. Damn happy with my purchase.
2008 CBR1000RR

Very clean, never in rain, always garaged, never dropped. 4,000 miles. Perfect condition. It's got power commander, BMC filter, Kevalar grips, Yoshimura case savers and exhaust, Honda gel comfort seat, rear seat cowel. Hot bodies undertail and rear hugger, front, rear and mid-body sliders. Corsa high bubble windscreen. CRG adjustable levers. Brand new Michelin 2CT Pilot Power tires. Comes with touchless tank bag, and a tail bag, which fits on stock seat. Cannot stress how PERFECT this bike is.

The '08 rr1000s are light. They feel like a 600 almost. great low and midrange power. Great handling. They are no match for 10R on the top end. Honda has the dependibility thing down better than most. Fit and finish is at the top also. Kawis crash better.:smile

Thanks. Wet roads up here right and will be all week so I will be light on the throttle for a while.

i see the thru the fairing sliders. Looks like a quality install. You have a well taken care of bike there. I'm sure the previous owner just HATED to sell it.
Guy did seem to like the bike and I could tell he did not really want to part with it. Said he had two Harleys as well and money was tight:dunno.

Thanks. Plan is this is my new daily commuter. I start a new job tomorrow A little longer commute than my last job, it's 20 miles each way.

Thanks, and yeah only been out for a short run (in the rain), but it is obviously quicker and smoother than anything I have eve ridden.

Pretty much what my reasearch said. And if this is what a 600 feels like, I can see why people like them so much:smile

On Saturday I met a bunch of new guys and rode with them. At the first stop I was shaking pretty good. They ask if I was cold. I was not. After 5 years this liter bike still gives me a huge adrenaline rush when I ride her. If that bike doesn't do the same for you, you are doing something wrong. :smile.

Understood. Of course the nine will do that too. This one does seem smoother though. And then there's the whole 30 lbs lighter and 30 more HP thing:rolleyes

You forgot the part about the permanent grin you have on your face after a good ride. Sometimes I just can't wipe the smile off my face.

Nice bike Riley...........thought maybe you switched to the dark side and got a Gixxer....LOL.

I have a few friends that have the 1000RR's. Good bikes, even if they are Honda's. :)
