Over the last week or two my 12 has been acting like it has a fuel pump problem. I start to loose power, like I'm loosing fuel pressure rather than the ignition cutting out. Today I was pushing the bike harder than I have before and it started to get a lot worse. However, the only times I can get it to happen is when I'm smack in the mid of a turn, especially around 6,000 rpm or higher, I can really tell. If I'm a straight road, I can really hammer on the throttle and no problems. Someone today suggested there is a sensor on the bike to detect if it has been tipped and kills the ignition, maybe this is a problem? I know a lot about cars and their repair (was a mechanic for almost 10 years), but bikes are a whole nother world in some respects I guess. Anyways, thank you in advance for any light you can shed.

Did the FI light flicker when it happened? I had that happen on my 2000 12R & one of my ECU wires had a short to ground, only happened if I hit a dip or bump in the road.
