Gibernau, Locatelli and Bautista fastest in
Sete Gibernau, third place on the grid today, clocked the fastest
time in the warm-up session, the only rider to break the 1’55
barrier.His 1’54.816 put him ahead of Casey Stoner, Loris
Capirossi, John Hopkins and Dani Pedrosa, with Marco Melandri
in sixth. Pole-man Chris Vermeulen dropped to 16th.
Roberto Locatelli was the fastest in 250cc, with a time of
2’00.206. The Team Toth rider headed the standings ahead of
Andrea Dovizioso and Hector Barbera. Pole position holder Jorge
Lorenzo was fourth, with Hiroshi Aoyama and Sebas Porto
completing the top six.
In 125cc, Alvaro Bautista consolidated his pole position in
2’04.469, ahead of Joan Olive, Mattia Pasini, Mika Kallio, Gabor
Talmacsi and Lukas Pesek.
