Haven't paid too much attention to that but did you see the Moto GP battle between Dovi and Marquez in the rain at Japan. OMG, much props to Dovi for taking 1st and increasing points.

Yeah pretty amazing race in Sepang. Pretty much down to the wire as Dovi needs to take first place to win the season at Valencia. He's got a lot of pressure to take the crown with mandatory 1st place. Even if he doesn't take the crown this year chances are that he'll make it next year and deserves a ton of respect for taking a hard fought second place.

Any chassis are allowed in Moto 2, but 0nly one or two have ever won anything. This class is considered a stepping stone to MotoGP. I remember watching Marquez toy with the field the year before he stepped up to the premier class.

BTW, we only have ONE MotoGP left in the USA, so try to get down to Austin and take it in before it goes away with Indy and Laguna Seca. TV may have lots of good views, stop-action and replays, but the visceral experience of being there cannot be duplicated on a flat screen.

I believe if Mark finishes no less than 12-14th he wins the champ,,, He will either do that or crash out battling for first

Hopefully some maturity has set in and he'll cruise around in the top ten and stay upright. And hats off to Dovisioso for proving Ducati isn't an also-ran anymore. He and Whorehay should be a formidable team in 2018.

And speaking of Ducati, 2018 will see V-4-engined street bikes. A little MotoGP trickle-down. And playing a little catch-up with Yamaha on the street and Mother kaw in WSB.

For 2018, Moto 2 machines will be powered by punched-up Triumph 675 triples in prototype chassis, although I think there's still only three chassis options unless you build your own.
