Melted connector

Where is it located? Can you take a pic zoomed out so we can actually see the whole area?

Going off of connector types, I’m guessing maybe the ignition switch….

The ignition switch plug looks like it's been touching your exhaust.

The zx7 doesn't have a separate rectifier like most bikes do.

I should have been more clear.

The rectifier is in the alternator of the zx7 as opposed to zx10r/zx14/zx14r/gtr1400 etc., where the rectifier is separate from the alternator/generator.
