I just picked a 06 636 and the only thing it is missing is the rear hugger. Does any
one know if this is required for a MD inspection? I asked the guy over the phone but it didn't sound like he knew what I was talking about. Thanks.

Probably not. Doesn't come stock so it shouldn't be needed.

the thing i love about california, no safety inspection/sticker.

but to answer your question, that depends on who is doing your safety inspection - the state certified inspector can grief you as much as a fender eliminator, or your blinkers not being 14.5 inches apart from each other.. even if it was 14 but you are missing that .5, he can be an ass about that.
But some just stamps it even if you do not comply.

To answer your question, no u dont need a rear tire hugger as that is an aftermarket item... If your near college park, take it to the shell gas station off 193E green belt rd, good dood and will inspect honestly...
