So I picked up this bike for $1000 a couple weeks ago and really doesn't need a lot of work but I plan on going through the motor, repainting the frame, doing a little bodywork, and repainting the plastics. Any suggestions on what I should do to it?

Well since I'm sure you don't want to give me any parts from it I suggest keeping alot of the engine stock. I have been told several times to keep the exhaust and air filters stock. I'm sure someone will say different. braided brakelines, flush your fluids, etc. I am painting my frame now. still deciding on a color for the plastics. I could use a new tank though! :rolleyes

Wow. Its Entirely stock except missing the rear fender. Beauty. Next ended the worthless side mirrors with some tin bars about 4 inches. Put hand guards on. Experimenting with different clocks that don't get ruined in the rain...Put a cup holder on. It Actually works.
