So I have ridden an 05 R6 with brembo radial brakes and loved the feel, but here is my question. Would a Brembo radial master on stock 4 pot tokico calipers make enough difference to make a $50 purchase worth while?

Oh...... It's not really that I like Brembo it's that it's available and I want to start upgrading my brake system. I know steel braided lines seem to be a big win so that will be one of my upgrades, but I just don't like how my stock master feels. So I figure change it out with a radial setup..

sry i skimmed through and kinda forgot what i was gonna say... but if your talking about the brembo master cylinder .. it makes a pretty sufficient difference. I installed one on a 954 and a R1 and i felt a difference. i say its worth it and you can maybe get some bux back by selling the stock one

Thanks ZXRider. Thats what I was looking for. Now to just get some cons concerning it, or it doesnt make a difference, I'd be set.

50 bucks is kind of cheap for a Brembo master. Go to hardracing.com and see what they cost new. you must be buying it used? i guess they can be rebuilt. I would think you would definitely be able to tell the difference with a much firmer brake lever. besides changing the brake fluid, I would look into steel braided lines if you don't have them already.

Heyya, I have a couple of H1's, one road, and one a race one I'm building up into a no compromise race bike.
If your looking for a better brake solution using the standard forks, a good start is a brembo master cylinder. A 19/20 mm one is a race style, shorter but stiffer pull, with a bit less"feel". A standard road style 16.5 mm brembo master gives a softer pull over a longer span, and gives a better feel, a definite + on slippery roads and such. If you want to go further, getting your hands on a second hand pair of 4 piston brembos (Commonly off late 90's model aprillias and ducatis) gives 20% more pad area, and the calipers are of a superior build to the standard tokios. As the standard calipers are 63mm spacing, and the brembos are 65 mm spacing, you will need to have adapter plates made. Not a biggie for a engineer with a bit of experience and skill to knock out.
