I swapped the shock out today. This is for a couple reasons but mainly because I want this bike to be very period correct.

Because I’m not using stock rear sets or a pair that utilize the stock geometry I need to use a different shifter rod. In this case I’m using a titanium rod and (for now) one titanium lock nut. As soon as I can find the left hand threaded nut in titanium I’ll replace it.

And I’m using a titanium bolt on this as well.

I’ll pull it all back apart next week to drill the bolt and repaint the black on the shifter and clean it all up. Today was for fitting everything.

A little motivation for Monday. I’ve always loved these two pictures of this ZX7RR Superbike. They give me inspiration for what I want to achieve.

While mine is no where near as nice as those full up race bikes, I'm having fun building her up. The Muzzy fairings should be painted in a month or so. Some more motivation for you.
