I have a 06 ZZR14(Norway) and i want to fit Yoshimura R77 on it but they only fitt for 08+
I bought a manifoild cheap on ebay thats suposed to come from a 08 ZX14 us version.
But i am confused since the (euro versions) 06/07 only have cat`s in the can`s and 08+ hav in the can`s and the manifoild. The 08+(euro) if i am corect has a O2 sensor, which i cant see on the ons i bought.
Hers a link to my garage on a Norwegian site wher you can see the manifoild.

Sorry i was in a rush when i wrote it.
what i ment to ask is if the manifoild i linked to is from a 08+.

the manifoild that i have bought is from a us version zx14.
The problem i have is that the yoshimura r77 slip on only fits on 08+ zx14.
and i am confused becouse the europen version the 06 dos not have a 02 sensor but the 08+ has. And the 06 dosent have a cat in the manifoild but the 08+ have.
The manifoild i linked to dosnot have the O2 sensor but it have the cats(or it looks like it have).
Does the us version of zx14 08 have a O2 sensor?

06/07 has the cats in the mufflers and none in the collector (end of the manifold).
The 08+ has the cats in the muffler and one in the collector.

You would have been better off to get the R-77's and header for an 06/07.

If you don't have an o2 sensor on your bike, just break out the catalyst material in the collector of the header and have the o2 sensor hole welded closed.

Ok,
so, you have an 06 and bought mufflers that only fit 08+.
Now you're stuck. You bought the wrong stuff. :dunno
Soooooo, where do you go from here?
You can either sell everything you bought, keep the header that came with your bike and get mufflers that fit the 06/07,
or, do what I suggested in the last line of my last post.

If you have an '08 header, the R-77s will work. If not, you will have to sleeve the midpipe inlet down a bit. The '08-and-up 3-cat setup has an outlet diameter of 53mm while the older 2-cat pipes (no cat in the collector) is 50 mm.

No no no. Jesus i suck at explainig. Forgiv me i am from norwegian. I try one more time.
The manifoild part that connects to the enginblock is exactly the same. So if i buy a full exhaust system it dosent matter if its a 06 or 08 and later models.
its the "y" split that is the difrence from 06/07 and 08+.

06/07 didn't have the 3rd cat in the header.
When they added it in 08, the header collector was bigger, to fit the cat
and the outlets for the mid pipes got bigger.
that's why they specify 06/07 or 08+.
So, what exactly do you have?

You have an 06,
you bought 08+ mufflers
and want to know if you need the 08 header to make the mufflers fit?

the answer is yes.

But the 08 header has a cat in it.
If it has a hole for an o2 sensor, you can just weld it closed.
I don't think your bike would have an o2 sensor.
But, you still have the cat in there.
You might want to get that out of there.
I think the simplest solution is to sell the R-77s and get mufflers that will just bolt right to the 06 header you have.
Or, maybe you can have a muffler shop put cuts in the end of the mid pipes and compress them, so they fit in your 06 header.
I'm out of ideas :dunno

And don't worry about the translation thing.
I can't understand half the jackoffs on this forum, half the time anyway.
And they're all FROM here.

Thank you:cheers
Then i can order the Yoshis R77.

The reson why i was confused is becouse at som other sites they said that it was from a 06/07 becouse ther wher no O2 sensor ther.
So tomorrow i am bona take out my hammer and a big flat screwdriver an remove the cat.

If any of you ever come to Norway, i will buy you a beer or two:crazyloco
