Ok, I'm confused. I know in North America, the new 14 model is called a ZX-14.

But elsewhere, is the model name a ZZ-R1400 or a ZZR-1400?? I seem to see it written both ways, so which way is right??? Inquiring minds want to know...

The US version droped the R to try and help with insurance rates, as "R" relates to "Race" by insurance compinies.

Hmm, never noticed, but until 1994 the 1100 had 'ZZ-R' decals, after that it was 'ZZR'. The 1400 is likewise called 'ZZR', without dash.
See e.g. my site: http://www.zx11.info :)

And I think calling the 1400 a 'ZX' is a marketing error ;)

here in taiwan.. it's both :p ahahahahah we have them imported under both names~

but in regards to ZZR vs. ZZ-R... as in many words in the english language, the hyphen is up to user discretion~
