Hi guys,

Just purchased my first set of mods for my 2010 ZX10R. I got the Akra Carbon Fibre slip on with link pipe. I have no intention of installing air filter or anything else right now.

Do I need to play around with A/F? Will I be okay without a PC?

PS Got my full gear sorted out and got the double bubble windshield.

Do it right

to be honest i dont have much faith in the use of power commanders. i highly recommend just doing the filter (they are cheap) and getting fuel enrichment software. Either have a shop tune it or learn how to do it yourself. Every bike is different and universal power commanders arent the same as just tuning it specifically for your bike. Thats my suggestion

Power commander is not necessary for a slipon

it starts being a "want" factor after a slipon + filter

"may" need if you add a full exhaust system + filter

But with just a slipon, you may see a few gains with power commander, throttle response, better acceleration, even better fuel milage are all +'s

I have one and i love it, its a must for my bike and the next bike i will own.

I would just ride it for a few months without any other mods, this way when you do install a PC you will know right away if the gains are worth it. I've had bikes with a slip on and have been very happy.

I am not interested in gains. I got the exhaust for sound and looks only.
