Can the #3 conrod be inspected simply by removing the oil pan? Or does the engine needs to be splitted up to access it? I think the balancer is an obstruction in the oil pan opening but I'm not 100% sure.
I think I remember this being discussed several years ago over at BBW ... but I can't remember the answer. Seems that it was more suited to inspecting the alignment of the oil pasages than the bearing itself :dunno That would be quite the search.
