Is there anyway to adjust timing? It doesn't look like the PCV even does it, or did I miss that?

The PCV allows free control of the parameters below, i got it straight from their website, so yes you should be able to adjust timing some...


Retains all of the standard Power Commander V fuel control features
Allows +/- 20 degrees of timing adjustment
Map Switch Input – change maps on the fly
Adjust timing per cylinder
Raise your Rev Limit (only available on select models)
Built In Launch Limiter

what a shame. I bought the PC3 a few years back, just bought the ignition module to go with it. If i would have waited to just buy the PCV, it would have saved me abit of money...lol

^It says some models....What about for the zx6? For some reason I think it only works on the harleys.... I do not know for sure. It would be nice to have a launch limiter.

In order to adjust ignition timing with the PCV, you need to install the ignition module. This should only be adjusted on a dyno by a qualified tuner, too much timing WILL blow your motor instantly.

I installed my ignition module on my bike the other week. I recently updated the firmware to get ready for a dyno tune and fucked the PCIII up. It was updating and half way stopped reponding. It wont let me update, change maps or start the bike. I called dynojet and i have to get a reprogramming device and reprogram the PCIII.

the PCV ignition module isn't available for the 07 08 years , i also contacted dynojet about 2 weeks ago and they told me they have no plans on releasing it for those year neither...
