Hello everyone. new member here been lurking around for awhile though.
I have a 1994 zx7 L model . When I start it runs at normal idle until it warms up then the idle creeps up around 2500rpm . Any opinions on why it does this?
I did cut the exhaust about 2inches and put a K&N filter in but I don't think that would affect it?

You have to keep bringing the idle down as it warms up.

Just an FYI you really shouldn't let the bike idle too long on the choke or on its kickstand.

Start the engine and bring the choke to around half and ride off. After 2nd gear or so turn it off.

Set idle to 1100-1300 hot

yea I never let it run long with the choke on and I always sit on it so its not running on the stand. it doesnt need the choke more than a quarter on when I start it usually . but ill try and adjust the idle down then. thnx
