Just thought I would drop in and just say how much I miss my 1998 ZX-11. My bike was in perfect condition. It only had 4K miles on it when I traded it in. I traded it in for a 2011 ZX14. I then sold that bike after getting really pissed off with all the quirks the 2011 was born with. I call them design flaws. The mighty Kawi gods must have heard me complain about the 2011 ZX14. So, a few months after I picked up the new 2011 ZX14, the new revised 2012 ZX14R came out. Boy, I was pissed even more. So, I sold the 2011 ZX14 for dirt cheap and bought a 2012 ZX14R. Don't get me wrong, the 2012 ZX14R is awesome, Kawi fixed all the quirks (engineering defects of the 2011 ZX14). But, every now and then I can't stop thinking about my old 1998 ZX11D. I was the original owner of that bike. I actually went back to the dealer to buy my bike back, but it had sold.

So, if you have a 1998 ZX11D in perfect condition, you better hang on to it. It's not always better on the other side. It was much more comfortable on the ZX11D.

I love my 11, though I will soon have a 14 in my stable too.

Keep in mind, my 11 isn't going anywhere. It is staying with me. I love that bike too much and it's too good of a bike.

You are lucky, somehow I let my wife talk me into trading in my 1998 mint condition ZX11 for a 2011 ZX14. When the 2011 ZX14 started to annoy me with all its quirks, I wasn't happy anymore that's why I sold it cheap. It only had 1300 miles when I sold it. My 2012 ZX14R is excellent, but I sure wish I still had my 1998 ZX11 too. That was a nice bike. I find myself often lurking the web for that perfect looking 1998 model. I have not found one that was in as nice of a condition as the one I had.

I don't miss my 11. I owned it for 19 years, it needed nothing, and was as clean as a bike with 14,000 miles could be.
