Is it sad that I know who that artist is and recognize that song?

I wish you a speedy recovery after your surgery!

They sure messed up my riding for awhile
But I'm worth a lot more with some titanium in me lol.

Frustrating part is not being able to do some simple things.
Good part is everything went well. No pain like some people said there would be
Just a healing process now
And I can still drink beer with my left hand

Looking good .
Welcome to the repaired body parts club. After 3 crashes (two collarbones and a pelvic separation) and two hand surgeries, I can empathize with one-handed beer drinking

Which I got a head-start on the afternoon of the last crash, one week pre-surgery.

I contemplated getting the hardware removed as a couple screws are pretty close to the skin surface, but I just avoid carrying anything on that shoulder. One day of pain pills and back to barley pop.

The bills are rolling in faster than a 14
$123,000 for hospital alone. $51,000 for the spare parts
That blueberry muffin in recovery room as $11,000 lol

Crazy
My neighbor is an ortho surgeon in canada.
He said my costs are 10 to 20 times higher
His parts are about $2000 and surgeon fee for shoulder is $700

Yes. Everything is expensive here. Between the falling value of the USD and rising inflation; I'm waiting for the ultimate financial crisis of my lifetime.

Those prices are mental, i take it your insurance paid for it, or at least i hope it did. What happens if someones involved in a bike smash, is emergency treatment free? Would they just leave a person to die if they couldnt pay for life saving surgery?

Im in the uk, our inflation is also sky high, fuel prices have went mental. 2.35 us dollars per litre. Thats $8.90 a us gallon.
foods doubled in price, every single household gets money from the government to pay for electricity as its almost trebled in price.
the pound is down loads against the dollar and the euro, for the first time in my life its cheaper to buy used parts in the uk than it is to get them from the usa.
OK let the jokes begin but I'm on medicare and have united health care as supplemental insurance. It's all kind of mandatory when you reach a certain age
It's actually a good thing since so far I'm out of pocket about $1600
If i was still on my wife's insurance I would have a $5000 deductible and then maybe 10% of other costs
Other good thing is I'm covered in the event of a motorcycle crash so I can lower my rates on motorcycle insurance with less medical coverage

$8.90 a gallon for gas? Ouch. We're about $3.80 now for regular grade
