well i bough another bike, I got a 94 zx7, the guy took it apart and now its my job to put it back together, but i came across this prOblem, on the trans cover, right where the shifting shaft goes trough, there is bearing that he tried to removed and he ended up destroying it, is there some kinda trick to remove this.. thanks

Could not see the pix but for future reference for those that don't know, applying some heat to aluminium casings will make bearing removal a lot easier, as the alloy will expand a lot quicker than the steel bearing. If using a flame just make sure to move the heat source around & not concentrate it in one place as this could distort the casing.

When I had to replace the bearing on a rear sprocket carrier recently, I poured boiling water onto it & the bearing just fell out.

When fitting a new bearing put it in a freezer for a few hours to 'shrink' it.
