the shop said that the thermostat is bad, I have the bike back tuesday or wednesday so i'll let everyone know if that fixes it.

i got the bike back and it was the thermostat, runs great now and no more spraying coolant

i just bought a 2005 zx10r w/8500 miles, when it runs for 10-15 minutes it shoots coolant out of the overflow hose, what would cause this my thoughts are the thermastat not opening, or the head gasket and thoughts would be appreciated. THe bike starts right up and no other issues...thanks for any answers

is it over heating and also check the coolant fan to see if its on when hot. if it over heats it could cause water to back up to the over flow tank also your hoses could be wrong on yhe over flow tank

overtime, adding water lowers the % of actual coolant which can lead to overheating
