i have an 02 zx9r and have a burnt out hid light that came on it when i got it. can anyone recomend a kit that is fairly cheap but nice. and also i wanted to get an alarm but not sure what to get, dont want to spend anymore than 100 on the alarm but would like an automatic start, i was looking at spy 5000m, if you know of anything better let me know. thanks

You can just replace the bulb you know.

Definitely install the pinebox. It's a slip-on so the PC is really optional anyway. You will find it's only real loud at higher rpms. You may still not be able to hear your bike over a big motored Harley with straight pipe megaphones. They really are obnoxious to me.

you should really download the service manual for your bike.

Check tire pressure at least weekly, preferably before every ride.
Look at the oil level sight glass. The oil level should be around the halfway point.
You need to clean & lube your chain every 3 to 500 miles. Check the chain slack.
Do a walkaround inspection before you get on your bike to ride it anywhere. Look for oil leaks, objects imbedded in the tires.
There are several regular maintenance items. Look in your owners manual or your service manual. Learn how to do all your maintenance yourself. Your dealer is not necessarily your friend. The dealer service department is for warranty issues.
